About Me

A Brief Biography

I grew up in Brasília, a planned city built to serve as Brazil's capital. There, I completed my undergraduate and master's degrees in economics. From Brasília, I moved to Evanston to begin a PhD in Political Economy at the Kellogg School of Management, where I was first introduced to strategy as a discipline. As an economist, I had always viewed firms rather simplistically—after all, they are just a function, right? But my exposure to strategy expanded my horizons and shifted my perspective on the complexities of firm behavior and decision-making. This experience inspired me to dive deeper into the field, ultimately leading me to pursue a PhD in Strategy at Washington University in St. Louis.

When I am in Brasília I like to practice Rappel in one of the many waterfalls near the city. Since I haven't found a good spot to practice Rappel near Saint Louis, I am dedicating myself to weightlifting and cooking (after all, you need to maintain the caloric equilibrium!).
